Hi Karin,
This is Q or Quasar. I am a cousin of Zhya's, and he forwarded me your blog. Very cool I must say. On behalf of my city (Bombay), I apologise profusely for the arse hole of a water guy and the other sleeze. I am in Toronto at present and Zhya said I should try and catch up with you later when I am back in mid June.
Am sure you have friends etc around, but if you fall ill or need some help I have a few friends (female) in the Colaba area who can guide you with stuff. You can call Taseem on +91 9820172798. I am emailing her right now, so she knows who you are. Also got family living all around the Oval. My India no. is working in Toronto, +919821087261. So if you ever need, just call. Once again many many many apologies. Will hopefully meet you when I am back in the city. - Q.

I reckon its some sort of bug thats been put there to spy on you by your landlady...
On a more mundane note, I would be led to believe its some sort of slug that's commonly found in certain parts of Western and Northern India during the monsoons.
And just to ensure that I sound really patronising...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slug:):)
